Visionaries

We had a dream of building a therapeutic community garden and the City of New Westminster liked it. We were thrilled to partner with them on the Ryall Park Therapeutic Garden project and we hope to work with them again in the future.

Business Leaders

We asked a modest thing; can we take your design specs and sub-irrigated garden technology, pay you nothing, and keep you as consultants? Amazingly they said yes. LifeSpace Gardens is a reminder that community partnerships can be a win-win and that it never hurts to ask.

Great Partners

Recognizing that promoting food security includes growing food, and that growing food contains the act of gardening, we’ve broadened our offerings by incorporating Horticultural Therapy into all of our programs. The Canadian Horticultural Therapy Association has a wealth of resources and opportunities for organizations to include HT into their operations.

Safety Experts

ProSafe has become our one stop shop for certificate-based skills training programs. They have highly skilled trainers, numerous convenient campuses, and provide great value of all levels. We have partnered with them to ensure we maintain high standards with the skills we offer. Read more about our partnership here.

Landscape Leaders

Westland Design is a boutique landscape design and construction firm. We have worked with them in several capacities and are big fans of their work.

Accessibility Experts

Spectrum Ability is a local The Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certified consultancy that we have had the pleasure to work with. Recognizing constraints exist in all project, Spectrum take an approach that works well with smaller budgets, seeking out the most cost-effective opportunities to bring about the greatest changes. If you have a project that could use a review from an accessibility standpoint, we can’t recommend them strongly enough.

Inspiration

We are members of the Children & Nature Network because we believe strongly in their mission to connect children and nature. Many aspects of food security stem from a disconnection and lack of access to the basic principals of food production which can be seen and witnessed wonderfully in a garden setting.

Arts In All Forms

We joined the New Westminster Arts Council because so many art forms connect with food security. Horticulatural Arts, Culinary Arts…Apiary Arts? Art is always subjective so you can’t rule anything out. But truly the NWAC is a brilliant community organization that supports important opportunities in the city of New Westminster and we greatly respect what they do.

Fruitful Partnership

The Wellness Show values information around nutrition and health and provides free access to a wealth of sources. We are excited to be partners with this organization who managed a complete virtual trade show in 2020 and have allowed us to showcase our projects to their audience. We look forward to working with them in the future.
